ANTO was born in 1970.
He paints recuperated images that he pieces apart, makes bigger, repeats, reverses, deforms, transforms and recycles. The images which inspire him come from the street, real or imaginary, and he travels to those places in Corsica, Marseille, Saint-Tropez, Paris, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Florence, Marrakech, Kyoto, Seville, Miami, Venice, San Francisco, Tokyo, New York…
Pop art is also an inspiration, as well as the religion, movies, comics, mangas, video games, animation, music, and big and small screen heroes.
Since 2003, he leaves his island to show his work in galleries, expositions, and in design hotels...
